DAY 05: SANSARI ( EXCURSION ) ( 15 Kms Total Trek )
Wake up to the sounds of the chirping birds and the fragrance of a variety of flowers that surround the Camps. Following breakfast we proceed on an excursion back in time as we embark upon a village jeep safari of the settlements and villages along the Sansari. The camel herding Rabaris are an ethnic group only to be found around Sansari and you will visit to their homesteads. We might visit a village school on the way.
After safari back to camp and began our gtrek from camp site. We visit the rural Bashor village and Rabari tribals of Mata magri. . We would also visit the local villages of the Umana bera, guda gopinath and guda durjan, shepherds and goatherds.
The idea of the safari is to bring to you the opportunity to experience distincvtive traditional lifestyle, colour and hospitality.
Packed Lunch at mayli –mata. This mix of salt and sweet water provides ideal conditions for the prolific growth of aquatic food for the flamingoes and other birds that breed and winter here in enormous numbers. Apart from the Wild also the home for a wide variety of species that include chinkara gazelle, nilgai, and the blackbuck antelope,Indian wolf, , Indian fox, jackals, jungle cats, and a few hyenas. Mayli mata is a birdwatcher’s paradise in winter. Houbara bustard, sandgrouse, desert chat, desert wheatear, nine species of larks, quails, gray francolin, Eagles, vultures, harriers and falcons can be seen hunting in the mayli mata.
